AfriAfya has been recognized for its work both locally and internationally, with invitations to present its work at many fora including two DOT Force workshops, a CIDA knowledge-sharing workshop and three North American Universities.
AfriAfya was involved in the piloting of a computerised health management information system (HMIS) in Kenya and is a member of the Ministry of Health Technical Working Groups for HMIS and e-Health.


AfriAfya was one of five laureates named for the prestigious 2003 Tech Museum Awards: Technology Benefiting Humanity, presented in San Jose, California on 15th October 2003.

AfriAfya was a finalist in the IICD 2002 ICT stories competition.
